I find the lessons fun and not too difficult… I did not know [any] Japanese before, but now I am able to understand simple conversations. We used games, flash cards and pictures to make memorizing easier. I was happy that we didn't only use lessons sheets.
Most of the time it is practical, but sometimes I find we learn different things that keep up my interest and make me want to learn more about the Japanese culture.
I have recommended [Tanoshii Japanese School] to several of my friends already,
Alex (age 16)
My son (age9) stopped asking if he can quit Japanese school when we switched to Tanoshii [Japanese School]. Since I have no solid reasons why he has to learn Japanese, I started to think maybe this is the end of his Japanese learning. Then one day I came across Kaori Sensei's article in a magazine. In the article, Sensei introduced some of the games that we can use to learn Japanese and I remembered how I used to play similar games with my friends or my mother when I was small. It made me realize playing is a natural way for kids to learn. In Kaori Sensei's class, she uses different games to teach Japanese. She introduces new words or sentences, then she asks kids to repeat them or to answer them through games using pictures, songs, balloons and elastic bands, etc. Because they have fun, they want to play more and end up repeating the words more. [The] fun doesn't seem to stop at the class. My son tells me what happened in the class, and again repeats the words he learned. He started to read short stories and write short sentences as well which was a big surprise for me.
learning Japanese is fun at Tanoshii [Japanese School].
My daughter is having a great time learning Japanese in Tanoshi [Japanese School]. In the classroom, [the lessons] are full of activities and my daughter enjoys interacting with her classmates. She can write how she feels , read and communicate very well with other Japanese people. I recommend Tanoshii [Japanese School] to parents who want to have their children learn Japanese.
I enjoyed the lessons. It was fun to learn Japanese. The teaching materials were effective and interesting. I would recommend these classes to others. The Japanese I've learned is practical. I am always looking forward to the classes.
